Dr. Amber O’Connor Wooten was born and raised in Texas. She grew up in
Arlington, and now lives in Mentz near Columbus with her husband John, a
Columbus, Texas native. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas
A&M University. While at Texas A&M, she was a member of the university club
gymnastics team, which won four consecutive NAIGC National Championships
during her four years on the team. After graduating from A&M, she went on to
receive her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from UT Health Science Center
at San Antonio in 2014. During her time there, she was involved in many
leadership roles including class officer and vice president of her dental fraternity.
After dental school, Dr. Wooten moved to Dallas where she worked for 2 years
before moving to Houston in 2016 to be closer to John while he completed his
residency in ophthalmology. She practiced in Houston until starting at Weimar Dental in the summer of 2022.
Dr. Wooten is Invisalign and minimal sedation certified. She is an active member
of the ADA, TDA, and most recently the Greater Houston Dental society (GHDS).
She served on the membership committee of the GHDS and was an alternate
delegate during the TDA House of Delegates annual session.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wooten loves cheering on her Fightin’ Texas Aggies and
the Houston Astros. She and her husband enjoy Texas Country concerts and
fishing at the coast. You can also find her in the kitchen baking cakes, macarons,
and decorated sugar cookies. She looks forward to providing care for the
wonderful people of Weimar and surrounding communities.
